Being sick is terrible. I started getting a sore throat around Thursday. I'm still sick. Oh I hate it. I ended up having to call into work Friday and Saturday, and I am most definately ready to go back. I usually don't mind staying home by myself, but being sick and having to stay home is a different story. When I'm sick I don't feel like doing things I normally would do on my days off.
So I'm very ready to go back to work, and hopefully my body will agree and make me better so I can go to work tomorrow xD. I have a store throat and can't talk very loud without straining my throat. (which is part of why I called in and didn't even TRY going in...you have to be able to talk!) One of my co workers told me on Thursday that she had just gotten over strep throat...I hope that's not what I have, but who knows. I don't really want to go to the doctor, although yesterday I was thinking pretty hard about going to CVS to a minute clinic or whatever they're called, since my insurance covers it and appointments aren't required (meaning no phone calls xD!)
Anyway, on another note, our internet is being really stupid and has been for about the past 2 months or so. Our modem will die randomly and sometimes won't want to come back on. We have to reset the internet several times before it will finally take. We think it's a modem issue, but haven't gotten around to calling our internet provider though, because we both hate making phone calls xD. We might have to though...We've tried to replace some of the wires/connections and it's not working very well...it's frustrating. We also need our internet because Mark is taking an online class for school.
On a better note, I now can say I like the department I'm currently in, it sure beats the other department. (I HATED it for the first 2-3 weeks, but once I knew more or less what I was doing, it got lots better)
Mark's taking 2 classes and an online class this semester and it's a LOT better than it was last semester. Last semester Mark got kind of stressed out from school, and this schedule works so much better. Online classes are fantastic, and I'm sure Mark will be taking more of them.
We're thinking about renting for another year before going into a house. I was talking to Lynette and she was telling me how much they had to spend to get their house...and with this kind of economy, they probably won't lend to someone who doesn't have at least 20% down payment. We're working on our savings and paying off our credit card, but I don't know that we'll have enough saved for a down payment, for closing costs, and mortgage payments, etc. by the time our lease here is up. We'll have to look more into it. I really would rather buy a house instead of renting another rental property, but at this point it might not be an option. Oh well.
